Register and Complete your profile on the Yoruba Platform

Good day, members of The Yoruba Platform!

We're excited to welcome you into our growing network of skilled and certified Yoruba professionals in Finland. To ensure that your profile is visible, trusted, and searchable within the platform, kindly follow the important steps below.

✅ Step 1: Register and Wait for Admin Approval

Once you register on the platform, your account will be reviewed and confirmed by an admin. This is to maintain the authenticity and security of our community.

What you need to do:

Complete the registration form.
Wait for a confirmation email
After email confirmation, admin will approve account.

✅ Step 2: Login and Update Your Profile

After your account is approved, log in to your dashboard and edit your profile. This is crucial because other users and potential collaborators will find you through your skills, certifications, and contributions.

Update the following information:

Your professional skills (e.g. Web Development, Teaching, Translation, Research, etc.)
Relevant certifications, License or qualifications (e.g. Safety Pass, Driving Licence, Bachelor, Masters etc)
A short bio or description about yourself
Add links to your relevant Social Media and Website

Tip: The more complete your profile, the more credible and visible you become on the platform.

✅ Step 3: Share Your Vouch Link and Get Vouched

This is one of the most important steps to activate your profile in the search system.

Every member has a unique “Vouch Link” in their profile page. After updating your profile:

Copy your Vouch Link.
Send it to another registered member of The Yoruba Platform.
The member should log in and click the link to vouch for you.

Why Vouching Matters:

Your profile won’t show up in search results until at least one person vouches for you.
Vouching serves as a form of community validation and trust.
It ensures members are genuine and recommended by others in the group.

✅ Just ONE vouch is enough for your profile to be discover-able, but we encourage you to collect more vouches as it strengthens your credibility.

Future Consideration: Multiple Vouch Requirements

While only 1 vouch is currently required, certain opportunities or special roles within the platform may later demand a higher number of vouches (e.g. for mentorship roles, leadership eligibility, project team selection, etc.). So it's wise to build your vouch network early.
